LAUREL CLARK, DIRECTOR OF SOUTH KINGSTOWN PUBLIC LIBRARIES (SKPL)  & BETTY COTTER PRESIDENT OF SKPL BOARD OF DIRECTORS
 
Clark and Cotter will bring a new perspective to what is happening in the Library and how the SK Library System meets the needs of the citizens of the town. Betty Cotter is an author, teacher and book reviewer. She was also Managing Editor of the SC Independent for 14 years.  Here is information about Laurel Clark from a Narragansett Times article from November 12, 2016:  "Laurel Clark, of Warwick, took over as library director on Oct. 11 [2016]....Clark takes the place of Shirley Long, who retired from the position in July, after 12 years on the job... Clark earned a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Rhode Island in 2002...After graduating from URI, Clark worked in the special collections department at the Redwood Library and Athenaeum in Newport and then at the Warwick Public Library before landing a job at the Fall River Public Library, in Fall River, Mass."  Here is more information that was distributed during the presentation:
