Scheduling Club Assembly
Our first club assembly is tentatively planned for early February.  There will be more about this plan at the next regular meeting.  At a club assembly there is typically a review of the budget; standing committees; adhoc committees; & proposed initiatives.  The Speakers Committee, please be advised that there should be no speaker at that meeting.  Confirming a date will be announced soon.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
Charitable Committee Request
Three URI/Rotaract students & Beth Leconte applied for the URI Service Corps spring 2018 programs and all 4 of them were accepted.  In March, two students will be headed to Houston, Texas, to help with the continuing need from hurricane disasters last fall; one student will be headed to Guatemala to work with Habitat for Humanity; and Beth will be headed to Arizona to work with Habitat & Navajo Reservation School.  The donation request for $1,000 will be divided evenly among the four ($250/pp) to offset the costs of being at these locations to provide their service work.  This would be the 2nd or 3rd year that our club has supported this endeavor that is a service oriented "spring break."  Club membership approved this request.
