About the meeting program:  The bell will be rung at 12:15PM to help the staff with food service timing and a final attendance count.  Also, a subtle "two minute warning" reminder before the end of the meeting will be signaled to help the program end promptly at 1:30PM.
VISITING ROTARIAN AND GUEST INTRODUCTIONS
There were no visiting Rotarians.  There were no guests, either, as today's speaker is Wakefield Rotary's very own Chris Van Hemelrijck, M.D.  He'll be updating us all on his latest trip to do charitable work for Water For Cambodia.
ROTARY MINUTE
To encourage more Rotarians to attend this year's Multi-District Conference (Dist. 7950 & 7890 / Friday, May 18th - Sunday, May 20th) in Plymouth, Massachusetts, Prez Pam Ancheta highlighted some of the planned sessions for the weekend conference.  Please click HERE for all the details and to register.  Please register by May 10th!

Note on Rotary Minute:  Club members are encouraged to share an interesting, unusual Rotary-anecdote about themselves, or fellow Rotarians.  More than a "happy buck" mention--you get to be on the agenda and you don't have to prep a 20-minute speaker's presentation.   Just let Pam know you want a Rotary Minute story to share.

DATE CORRECTION:  URI/Rotaract - Joint Service Project with Rotarians
Beth Leconte circulated another sign up sheet for a clean-up/repair effort for YMCA's Camp Fuller in Wakefield that the Rotaracters set up for an earlier date:  Sunday, April 7th from 9am-4pm. There will be 2 different 3-hr shifts with a lunch.  If you weren't at today's meeting, please contact Beth Leconte <olli_bleconte@uri.edu> to let her know on which shift (1st or 2nd...or both) you can help.

URI/ROTARACT ADVISORY TEAM - Learn About How to Get Involved
Beth is stepping down as the Rotaract Chair at the end of this academic year after 5 wonderful years but will continue to be employed at OLLI and happy to continue as the faculty adviser on paper as required by URI for all campus-wide groups.   Current URI/Rotaract club is very strong with 35-40 members and needs an engaged and committed Rotary team to serve as the Rotaract Advisers.  It is important to work on this transition with Beth right now to facilitate as smooth a transition as possible.  Please contact Beth Leconte <olli_bleconte@uri.edu> to let her know you're interested and can meet after the meeting of Thursday March 22nd or March 29th to get briefed about being part of the advisory team.

AND A COUPLE OTHER THINGS...about URI/Rotaract activities
