Business startups with a social responsible focus
Nov 21, 2019
Sandra is a retired professor of sociology from Bryant College, who recently retired and has established Giving Out of the Box. She is developing and selling gift boxes with various themes, which contain intriguing items made by non-profits or companies that support non-profits. She will explain how one goes about establishing such a business with the help of the Rhode Island Social Enterprise Group (SEG). Sandra launched her business on November 13 and will display some of the boxes she has made. Dan Croker is a retired public defender and business attorney who was associated with Ocean State Cranberry among other companies. Dan is on the board of directors of the SEG and worked closely with Sandra to develop her business. He will present how SEG helps develop all types of start ups in Rhode Island. |
