Program
Discussion of the Balloon Festival Weekend
This was the last Festival at URI at the University's request. The Group feels we must evaluate if we can continue an event of this size. We need another fundraiser at any rate. Judy Fortier mentioned and Farm to Table event, May Breakfast. She also felt as a professional fund raiser that the risk of the investment was to great for the reward with our present Festival. Karl Midunsky suggested a Bizarre or Holiday Market. Steve White felt strongly that we should think keeping about the Balloon Festival since we have developed a "brand" and that brand is an asset to the Club. Linda felt a need to evaluate costs and profit. Judy commented that we spend 75 cents to make a potential 25 cent at best. It should be reversed.
