Deb Casey has resigned from the Wakefield Rotary, Unfortunate to see her go and we will welcome her back if she chooses.
With that Tom is looking for a Rotary Foundation Chair to replace her.
PAWSOX Game on Friday August 17th, $12 per ticket, We will be meeting at A&B Appliance at 5PM to car pool to the game. Contact Russell for Tickets. He will be ordering tickets Monday at noon. Or call the PAWSOX at 401-724-2140

Sandy, emotionally expressed the meaning of VJ Day and her memories of her father, a WWII veteran.
Betsy, very happy with a recent health report.
Pam's father was a WWII Vet and had a life long friendship with a Japanese family in her home town. Pam's daughter is a teaching assistant solving world problems.
President Tom's daughter Amanda is expecting. Congratulations!!
Russell thanked Linda and Spencer for helping his granddaughter, Kayla, with the Rotary Garden clean up on Main St next to the bike path.
Program
Our Guest Speaker today is Sven Soderberg a South Kingstown native, veteran, Purple Heart recipient, and owner of the Peace Dale Shooting Preserve. Sven spoke of perspectives on life he gained from Boy Scouts and other life experiences. Sven joined the National Guard while studying Mechanical Engineering at URI. He was deployed twice, First during the floods in 2010, second to Afghanistan doing security details, he was injured while driving a truck that ran over a mine in the road.
Sven is aware of the opioid crisis mentioning that he has lost more friends to it than the war. He has successfully raised over $50K for Gold Star Families.
He currently has developed the Peace Dale Shooting Preserve into a state of the art sport shooting facility.
